Accessibility statement

Last updated: {{LAST_UPDATED_DATE}}

We want Meow Tales to be friendly to everyone, including people who use assistive technology. We aim to follow the principles of the WCAG 2.2 AA as closely as practical.

What we have done

  • Semantic HTML landmarks and a clear heading hierarchy.
  • A skip-to-content link and keyboard-accessible navigation.
  • Visible focus indicators for links, buttons and form controls.
  • Alternative text for meaningful images and empty alt text for decorative images.
  • Form labels associated with their inputs, plus accessible error messages.
  • Colour contrast checked against WCAG ratios for body text and interactive elements.
  • Reduced-motion preferences respected.
  • Touch-target sizing suitable for mobile.

Known limitations

Embedded third-party content (such as adverts, when enabled) may not always meet the same accessibility standard as our own pages. Where we identify issues, we work to mitigate them or remove the embed.

How to report a barrier

If you can't access something on the Site, please tell us. Email {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} with the page URL, the issue, the device and assistive technology you were using, and we'll respond promptly.

Continuous improvement

Accessibility is ongoing work. We audit periodically and welcome feedback from readers who use assistive technology day-to-day.
